Day to Day (#96) – Who Is the Unknown God?

+ Athens was full of different kinds of idols, temples and altars. They had an altar for an unknown god. The story of this altar showed that they were religious, tolerant of others’ philosophies or terrified from an unknown god that may harm them if they did not honour him. Paul used this concept to build a bridge between them and him in order to convey Jesus’ message and the worship of the one true god.
