Day to Day (#70) – The Council’s Decision
September 8, 2018Day to Day (#72) – Reconciliation Between Enemies
September 10, 2018+ The decree of the Council of Jerusalem concerning judaising the Gentiles had many sorts of impacts. It separated Christianity from Judaism to prevent it from becoming a Jewish sect. It gave the opportunity to the Jews, who found great difficulty to live according to the Jewish Law, to accept God’s grace.
+ On the other hand, it allowed the Gentiles to enjoy the divine grace & freedom with some necessary requirements. The aim of the decree was love and union in Christ’s body. It was a win-win situation for everyone.
+ How did Jesus act in His life contradicting the religious spirit and the Pharisee conduct?
+ Is there any difference between Christianity and Judaism?
+ Jesus said, “I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them”. What did He mean by this statement?
