“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.” — Psalm 136:1
Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian Friends who will be celebrating on October 12th! I am very thankful to the Lord. “In everything give thanks.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18
I am also very thankful for each and every one of you. Your prayers, encouragement, support, and faithfulness have been such an important part of this ministry.
Wow! Who would have ever believed that, starting in 1984 in Toronto, Canada, we would one day see the ministry reaching such a large portion of the world? The impact of this ministry has been far greater than we ever anticipated or expected.
Not everyone may write or call, but through my travels and meetings, I have discovered that this ministry has impacted millions of people. Many pastors, leaders, and ministries have sprung from this work. We continue to hear stories of lives that have been changed through the ministry and the message of the Gospel.
One prominent TV leader, a very influential man from a Muslim background has an apologetics program and he shared publicly to me: “I began to watch your program when I was a baby.” He was expressing how long he had been watching the program since he was very young. He went on to share how the ministry had impacted his life.
A Touching Testimony
One particularly touching moment happened when I was speaking to a Sudanese community in Florida, USA. I was met by a very influential leader who began crying when he met me. He said, “I never expected to meet you.” He then told me that his father had sent him to study at Al-Azhar University in Egypt. But then he saw our program and became curious. He began watching more and more until he accepted Jesus and continued studying the Bible with us. Stories like these are what I keep encountering as I travel and meet people around the world.
Indeed, this is a time of harvest, and the Lord keeps showing us the fruit. “Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy.” — Psalm 126:5–6
