Greetings in the wonderful Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. My wife Ellen and I want to express our deepest thanks to the many from our great group of Light For All Nations friends who have written, sent cards, and emailed us with kind words of condolence for the passing away of my precious father-in-law, David Mainse. The Lord has truly comforted our family with his presence and grace.
My team and I are praising the Lord for bringing LFAN through a very tough financial time and we are so thankful for you and all our great supporters who have prayed for us and who gave in answer to our prayers and appeals.
3 "For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, 4 they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord's people. 5 And they exceeded our expectations: They gave themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will of God also to us." (2 Corinthians 8:3-5, NIV)
I want to report to you that we had two successful fund-raisers. In Alberta on September 30th we raised $33,000! Ellen and I were supposed to be there in person, but that same day in Toronto we had my father-in-law's funeral (www.davidmainse.com) which was a glorious celebration of his life, so Ellen and I joined part of the gathering in Edmonton via Skype video conferencing. We felt close to everyone there! A special thanks to Kendall (Shamma) Gilker and our Alberta partners who came out to support and to those who mailed in their special fund-raiser donation.
The second fund-raiser was in Ontario on October 14th and we raised $53,000! Thank you so much to all who came out to support and thanks to those who couldn't attend but who mailed in their donation (we included them in the totals).
By the time you get this letter, I will be in Lebanon and Syria. Now is an amazing open door with great receptiveness! I will be going for the first time to Kobani and Raqa, towns in Syria that borders Turkey. These towns have only recently been freed from ISIS control. This region has suffered greatly with slaughtering and atrocities done in the name of religion. On one of my previous mission trips to Syria I led to the Lord five Kurdish people who come from this area. They have invited me to go to their towns, and offered to drive me around as they know where are the safe areas. As I have learned from them, the five churches there were utterly destroyed and the only church now in existence is a home meeting made up of Kurdish believers who are former Muslims. I will be preaching and also helping with humanitarian aid. One of the brothers in the fellowship owns a bakery, so we will be giving out free bread to every family in these towns and inviting them to the evangelistic services. Pray with me for a great harvest!
I will be going again to Syria in December where we will focus on giving 1000 to 1200 children, along with their families a wonderful Christmas! It will cost $40 per child for the gift baskets. Last year we had a wonderful Christmas program for Children and we will do it again this year, but on a larger scale! If the Lord lays it on your heart to support and sponsor, please donate with the designation "children's mission" in the memo.

Please keep Light For All Nations, my travels and ministry in your prayers. I will be in dangerous areas, but am trusting the Lord. Pray with us for many souls to come to the Lord.
I want to stress that even though we had successful fund-raising events, the ministry continues to have financial challenges, as we must keep on producing programs. Please, before the soon approaching end of the year, would you fulfill any unmet pledges? Can I count on you? We pray that more people will come onboard as regular monthly partners. Thank you so much to those who already give with a PAD plan (pre-authorized donation). If you do not, would you consider it today? You can fill out a donation form on our website with the option of a one-time gift or a regular monthly gift (credit card donation) (bank debit- check). May the Lord bless you.
In Christ's love and service,
