Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
"Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that should be called children of God!" (1 John 3:1)
In this month of February, we celebrate love with St. Valentine's Day (Feb. 14th). Love comes from God. He is author of love. His nature is love and Jesus reveals the love of the Father to us. God's love is divine, eternal and unconditional.
"The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: 'Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you." (Jeremiah 31:3)
The concept of the love of God or the revelation of God's love is foreign to Islam. For Muslims who have converted to Christianity, it was the love of God that drew them. We hear reports almost daily from our viewers and followers who testify that God's love is what touched them and changed them. As I was writing this letter, our phone prayer counselor was on a call with a man from Algeria who was seeking truth. He had been a devoted Muslim but in his study he found the Koran had many scientific errors which caused him to become an atheist. Still, he had many questions about Christianity and always watched our programs. When he called, our counselor shared step by step about the love of the Father God, the plan of salvation, His forgiveness through Jesus Christ and that He had a plan for his life. The Holy Spirit opened his eyes and he believed and accepted the Lord Jesus into his life!
It is our mission to speak the truth in love. We have experienced God's love and so we must show love, not hate or even dislike. Our love is shown not only by our words, but mostly by our deeds. God's love is a redeeming love, shown to us by the precious shed blood of Jesus Christ.
The months of December and January have been the busiest time, as I traveled to the United Arab Emirates, Syria, Lebanon and Israel and in these two months we have seen 1,081 people accept the Lord through our evangelistic campaigns, television productions and social media. I have also had the opportunity to work with many churches and train leaders to have a great impact.
One of the highlights during my ministry trip to Israel was that a famous Muslim Sheikh and his two daughters gave their lives to the Lord in a very dramatic way during one of my evangelistic meetings in the Upper Galilee! What a great miracle this was!
I just learned from a guest I had on our live program last week, that when he told someone in Egypt that he would be a guest on my program while visiting Canada, the person was very excited about it and told him that she had become a believer, saved out of Islam, by watching our program many years ago. She had been going through severe depression and woke up very early in the morning and turned on the TV and saw me sharing the Gospel. She cried out to God and gave her life to Jesus!
We hear more and more about former Muslims who are boldly testifying about their faith. I just taped two programs, each with former Muslims who shared their testimonies. They expressed the clear contrast between Islam and Christianity and told the reasons why they chose to follow Christ. These first-hand testimonies have a great impact. God's love is touching hearts and many Muslims are being changed!
