Sarah interviews John Jonathan about his troubled early life as a drug user, and gang member. Eventually he ended up shooting someone, and the gang tried to take revenge shooting at John at point blank range but somehow missing him. John knew at that moment God spared his life. He was later arrested and incarcerated, but dedicated his life to God and was radically transformed inside prison.

For spiritual growth, he watched Nizar Shaheen's english teachings - "walk through the Bible" while in solitary confinement. After his release, John met Brandi at a bible study - the two married and have had 4 beautiful children. He speaks in prisons about the love and transformative power of God.
