Saul of Tarsus wanted to sweep Christianity away. The Bible states that he was "breathing out murderous threats" (Acts 9 : 1). For him, there were, at least, three reasons to do that:
1.He was an extremely zealous Pharisee.
2.He thought he was doing God service.
3.Christianity seemed to be an invincible power.
