+ Although, as a deacon, his social service was "serving tables", Stephen was full of the Holy Spirit, faith and wisdom. He argued with five Jewish synagogues, one of which Saul used to go to. No-one was able to reason with him because of his wisdom. They ended up falsely accusing and stoning him.
+ The death of Stephen helped the church to grow and expand and led to the conversion of Saul of Tarsus.
