Day to Day (#130) - The Centurions

+ The centurion is an officer in command of a hundred men. He gets this rank after a tough life and many battles. It was not easy to get this rank in the Roman era. A number of Roman centurions are mentioned in the Bible: the centurion from Capernaum, the centurion at the crucifixion and Cornelius who was converted with his whole family. Then Claudius and, finally, Julius who was on the same ship with Paul.

+ While Paul was waiting for his trial, he gave his instructions to the Centurion who obeyed the captain of the ship.

+ Jesus displayed His power and taught him that authority was given to him.
