The ministry of Jesus was very unique. He taught with authority and not as the scribes and the Pharisees. His miracles were supernatural, plain and instantaneous, in front of everyone. Yet the Jews rejected Him because he broke the Sabbath. Though Christ taught that it was lawful to do good on the Sabbath and that He is Lord of the Sabbath, they insisted on opposing Him. This is the opposition that Saul of Tarsus (The apostle Paul) has learnt.
