Day to Day (#42) - They Were First Called Christians in Antioch

+ The followers of Jesus Christ were first called Christians in Antioch. We are very proud of this name facing the persecution with its various forms. This term's meaning is a "follower of Christ" with all the sufferings that follow. Christianity does not promise us eternal life only. It is not a paved road, with flowers growing on it, rather it is a road full of pain.

+ Jesus said “In this world you will have trouble but, take heart, I have overcome the world.”.

+ Why does Christ allow suffering to His followers? Shouldn't He offer them rest instead of pain?

+ How can pain be justified in the life of God's children, although Jesus called those who are weary to come to Him and He will give them rest?
