+ It is a small city in Asia Minor, founded by one of Alexander the Great's successors in 300 B.C. The way, separating it from Perga in Pamphylia, was full of dangers. Paul had to cross Taurus Mountains, face bandits, thugs and shipwrecks.

+ Some commentators claim that, in Perga, he was severely attacked by Malaria which made a painfull trip, but he did not shrink back and was led by the Holy Spirit.

+ Paul led a life full of pain and suffering.
