+ After various reports, the mother-church in Jerusalem had to make a decision. The decree was divided into two parts: The doctrinal part regarding salvation by faith in Jesus Christ only, not by works or circumcision or Moses' Law. The second part was focused on what the Gentiles must do after being saved.
