Day to Day (#90) - The Roman Citizenship

Day to Day (#90) - The Roman Citizenship

869

+ The apostle Paul was a Roman citizen who had the legal right to not be bound or imprisoned without a trial. It was forbidden to beat or scourge or torture him without a tribunal. It was not legally permitted to crucify or stone him but it was legal to permit beheadings.

+ As a Roman, Paul enjoyed his rights to travel freely on the Roman roads among the Roman territories. He did not boast about his Roman citizenship rights but instead, only spoke about his heavenly citizenship.

+ What are you most proud of?

+ Are you afraid of being a Christian? What did Jesus say about this?
