+ Paul travelled more than 160 km from Philippi to Thessalonica. As was his custom, he began with the Jewish synagogue then preached to the Gentiles as well. A large number were converted. Paul had a certain way of outreaching. He explained the Scriptures proving, from the Old Testament prophecies, that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead. Other Jews were jealous, hired some wicked men and threw the city into an uproar.
