+ Corinth was the capital of Achaia. A large city and a commercial centre where the Olympic games were held. Corinth was a religious city where there were temples for the Greek gods such as Apollo and Aphrodite. But it had a bad reputation because of the immoral trade carried on at the temple of Aphrodite. Paul went there, preached and made disciples. He stayed in Corinth for one year and half.
