+ The Commander allowed Paul to be tried before the Jewish leaders. Paul began to speak in a personal manner revealing his love for them and his loyalty to the Jewish race, however, the high priest did not let him speak. A quarrel arose between them; Paul knew that the trial would not be fair. He used the sectarian speech and the Sanhedrin revolted and was split. The Commander and his soldiers saved him, once again, from that group.
