+ Caesarea lies on the Mediterranean Sea. It was built by Herod the Great in honour of Caesar and was an impressive work of architecture.  Herod built many palaces, castles and a seaport to challenge nature. It served as the military and administrative centre. This city was the Roman capital of Palestine. It was destroyed by an earthquake and rediscovered in the 19th century.

+ Paul did not want to go to this great city for relaxation but for trial.
