October 2023 - Pray for the war in the Holy Land
We woke up this morning with very sad news that war has broken out between Israel and Hamas. Hundreds have been killed and thousands injured. We pray for God to comfort with the power of the Holy Spirit all the families who have lost loved ones and we are praying for the injured to be healed. We pray the war will cease and that God will bring peace to this devastated area and stop the bloodshed and bring healing. We especially pray that the people on both sides will turn to the Lord. He is the Prince of Peace!
I am in touch with several people in the land to see how best we can help but for sure prayer is most important. I had to cancel an upcoming trip to Israel as we had planned to do taping in the south close to those heated areas. The whole Middle East is boiling but let us take comfort knowing that our God "makes wars cease to the end of the earth" (Psalms 46:9).
Let us remember to pray for all the believers in the land, both Messianic Jews and Arabic believers. May they unite in Christ and be a bridge to help bring peace. May they be bold and strong witnesses for Jesus and I pray that at this troublesome time many will come to faith.
We continue to pray for Morocco where many died in the strong earthquake last month, on September 9th. Over 2000 people died and many thousands were injured. It was such a great tragedy! Whole communities were destroyed. We pray for the believers in Morocco. May the Lord use them to help and be bold witnesses. May the people turn to God and may the Holy Spirit who gives comfort reveal Himself to them.
