November 2024 - "The Lord has done great things and we are glad"
Grace and peace to you in the Name of our precious Saviour Jesus Christ. Again, this month, I want to reiterate how thankful we are to God. In the United States the Thanksgiving celebration is this month, so “Happy Thanksgiving” to all our USA friends!
The Light For All Nations Ministry is so thankful to God for providing the needs and meeting the challenges we were facing! Since February we have had many struggles. In fact it has been the most difficult of years financially speaking and yet the most productive spiritually.
God did a miracle and we were so blessed at our 40th Anniversary of Ministry Celebrations by the generous giving of our supporters. We had two very successful fund-raising banquets. The first was in Edmonton at the end of October wherein we raised $30,857.00. The second was in Mississauga (the Toronto area) at the beginning of this month where we raised $65,391 and because we reached the $50,000 mark, it was matched by a generous donor, who gave another $50,000, totalling $115,391.00! How blessed we are! With this break-through, God has helped us to end this year with strength and enabled us to plan for more soul-saving productions! Hallelujah!
It is hard to believe that 40 years ago we started the very first Christian Arabic television program and ever since the beginning our programs have been reaching and impacting the people of the Arab world! It is amazing that everyday I am in contact with people whose lives have been changed, whose souls have been saved, who were sick and were healed! Christian leaders have been trained, believers have been discipled, and churches have been planted, ministries have been started, many refugees, displaced and impoverished peoples have been provided with aid.
We value the soul above all else and that is why evangelism is our focus. All our efforts and finances go toward this goal - to honour and glorify God, to fulfil His great commission and expand His Kingdom.
“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8:36, 37).
The soul is precious, created in God’s own image; it is eternal. The decision to follow Christ on earth determines our eternity, so we take evangelism very seriously!
